At Elevate Vocal Arts (EVA), we are dedicated to empowering students and educators through high-quality arts education experiences. Our comprehensive education and outreach programs provide valuable resources and support for students, teachers, and schools across Delaware.
EVA's intensive school-based residencies last for 30-60 days, allowing our Vocal Artists ample time to build meaningful relationships with classroom teachers and students. Focused on both the artistic process and product, these residencies enable students to delve deep into vocal arts techniques and curriculum integration. EVA Vocal Artists are trained in culturally responsive pedagogies and practices, as well as trauma-informed practice, ensuring a supportive learning environment for all participants.
Elevation, EVA's flagship ensemble, visits schools throughout Delaware to provide professional vocal arts experiences for students in their own learning environments. By sharing their exceptional talent and passion for music, Elevation Vocal Artists inspire students to explore their creative potential and develop an appreciation for the vocal arts.
In partnership with the Delaware Department of Education and local school districts, EVA offers professional development sessions and workshops for art educators. These programs equip teachers with practical skills to enhance classroom learning and achieve curricular outcomes. EVA also advises on issues related to culturally relevant content in art classrooms and curricular mapping. Our commitment to supporting the Department of Education extends to providing art educators with additional content to fulfill HB 198 requirements, which mandate the meaningful incorporation of African-American History into PK-12 public school curricula.
