Arreon A. Harley-Emerson
CEO and Artistic Director
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Arreon A. Harley-Emerson graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, with bachelor’s degrees in Music Theory & Composition and Vocal Performance (opera). There he studied piano with Dr. Lisa Weiss, voice with Mrs. Betty Ridgeway, and conducting with Dr. Elisa Koehler. He received master’s of music degrees in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance from the University of Delaware School of Music, studying Choral Conducting with Dr. Paul Head and Voice with Dr. Noel Archambeault.

Rachel Clark
Rachel Clark
Executive Director
Rachel Clark grew up in northern New Jersey and studied Music Education at the University of Delaware. After teaching in NJ public schools for 11 years with a focus on both choral and instrumental music, Rachel is now the Executive Director of Elevate Vocal Arts, where her passion for the vocal arts, education, and outreach come together. Rachel is also the Project Manager for Delaware Choral Scholars, under the direction of Dr. Paul Head, organizing and managing competitive international choral tours through the University of Delaware. Rachel is a long-time member of Harmonium Choral Society, where she manages the high school student composition contest, and proudly served on the Harmonium board for six years. As both an avid performer and traveler, Rachel has performed in 20 countries around the world. A sought-after vocalist, she is the Soprano Section Leader at Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Summit, NJ, and sings locally throughout the region.

Jillian Harrison-Jones

Associate Artistic Director
Jillian Harrison-Jones, from Rochester, NY, is the Music Director of MUSE Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir, and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where she earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting. She also has earned degrees and certifications from Lincoln University (PA), Roberts Wesleyan College (NY), and the University of Connecticut (CT).

Jay Besch
Jay Besch
Operations Manager, Assistant Conductor
Jay Besch is an active singer, conductor and music teacher in the Mid-Atlantic region. Following graduation from Westminster Choir College (BM/MAT ‘16) he taught elementary and middle school general and choral music and led handbell and drama programs in New Jersey, Maryland, and Massachusetts. Following five years of teaching in independent schools, Jay enrolled at the University of Delaware (MM ’23) where he earned a Masters in Choral Conducting. Jay is currently an instructor at the University of Delaware in Creative Sound Design, and Assistant Conductor and Operations Manager for Elevate Vocal Arts.

Erik Meyer
Erik Meyer
Collaborative Keyboardist, Composer-in-Residence
Erik Meyer was raised in Collingswood, NJ, where he began his organ studies at thirteen, studying with the Rev. J. Bert Carlson. Erik earned a BM in 2000 and an MM in organ performance in 2004 from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Baltimore, where he studied with Donald Sutherland. He was a semifinalist in the highly competitive 2006, 2008 and 2012 National Young Artist Competition in Organ Performance. He has performed over one hundred recitals throughout the world and often performs organ-flute duo recitals with his wife, Anna as the AEMeyer Duo.
