Boy Breaking Glass:
ACDA Headlining Performance

Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 | 8:00 PM ET

BE THERE NIGHT ONE! We are the Headlining Choir for the Opening Night of the American Directors Association Eastern Region Conference.

This concert takes its name and inspiration from Gwendolyn Brooks’ searing poem, "Boy Breaking Glass," about a young Black boy who breaks a window, not out of vandalism, but as an act of protest and creation. The shattered glass becomes his art, a demand to be seen and heard in a world that has erased him. Through music that spans genres and idioms, we ask: What might it mean to build a future from the fragments? To lift every voice—not in support of the status quo, but in pursuit of justice, belonging, and joy.
